Voting Question: What nation came closest to realising (and defending) the genuine ideals of communism during history?
This question can be answerred in many ways-
First of course the literal - which governmant, even if short-lived, came closest to bringing Marx’s theory to life? Marx wasn’t the creator of the idea, you know, so perhaps there were societies before the 19th century that utilised ideas that ended up in the manifesto. What were they? Nobody ever came to making them all a reality, be it due to downfall caused by opressers or “the apple rotting from the inside” - perversion into a totalitarian state. Who came to something that worked, but were untimely stopped? Who was stopped by something preventable? How close were those that finally bended from within? One man at the head of an entire country hasn’t always been bad. What “dictators” actually helped their people prosper?
Deviate into the matter as much as you wish. History isn’t always a pin-point science so I’ll gladly listen to your opinions and thoughts. 
The 20th century aught to be full of examples.Sandinista Nicaragua? Tito’s Yugoslavia? Hungary 1956 when the people actually had control over everything with Nagy simply acting as a political representitive and ideologically inthusiastic soviet troopers going over to the hungarians side after jumping the language barrier which misinformed them as if they were fighting the brits on the Suez canal ?
