We also have great writers and \poets, like Ruben Dario, we have famous artists, painters, musicians, I will never end if I say all the good thins thaat my country have.
Resolved Question: If i gave you a plane ticket to go to my country (all expenses paid), would you take it and go?
My country, Nicaragua (In Latin America) is the largest and safest country in Central America (google it). Kidnappings here are extremely rare, we only had 4 cases in 2007, homicides are the second lowest in Latin America.
We have the oldest colonial city in all of the American mainland, being established in the early 1500s. That city is a beauty, its name is Granada and it is located by the 2nd largest Lake in Latin America (Lake Nicaragua). Inside Lake Nicaragua we have the only sweetwater sharks in the world and the largest volcanic island in a Lake in the world.
We also have the largest rainforest North of the Amazon in Brazil, tons of biodiversity, and natural beauty. We have the youngest volcano in Latin America, you can literally ski down one of the slopes (Cerro Negro). Our capital city, Managua, is the one of the very few in the world that have lagoons withing city limits. (we have 4). We also have great beaches in the Pacific coast and Caribbean coast.
So, would you come?
The island in the Lake is called Ometepe. It is an absolute beauty. It is formed by two Volcanoes which erupted a long time ago and formed a landmass between them. I’ve been there many times and it get more amazing with time. Check it out.

Also, the colonial city of Granada borders Lake Nicaragua and just 10-20min from the city’s center you reach a port. There you take a boat (holds up to 25 people) and you take an hour cruise around 365 islets which formed after the nearby volcano erupted thousand of years ago. (see Islets %26 the Lake section) http://www.vianica.com/visit/granada
I was just there (for the almost hundredth time) on Friday and saw about 17 island that were on sale. Very cheap. The islands all have owners except one, which is Monkey Island. Also, recently they found statues and ceramics (thousands of years old) on an island, they will be featured at out National Museum here next week!
The natural beauty in my country sure is endless.
