Resolved Question: Hmmmm, Russian planes landing in Venezuela, is this their idea for a tit for tat scenario?
Given the US involvement with Georgia and other former Soviet satellites, it appears that Russia is entertaining doing the same thing with Hugo Chavez, and probably Nicaragua too ! Will this prompt an immediate US response like it did during the Cuban crises, or will we sit down and have a diplomatic solution to this rather serious problem with the Kremlin. Is it even possible to reason with Medvedev and Putin ?
So, poolboy thinks that keeping an eye on Russia is stupid, just because the trip was announced in advance! Think about the last time the Russians made an unannounced visit to Cuba, then tell me it’s stupid !
After fifty years of adverserial relations with Cuba, it’s doubtful that invasion is our objective. The people of Venezuela will eventually take care of their own problem, we don’t need to intrerfere !
